Economical solution for the S2000 fuel starvation problem for track cars and high horsepower drag race applications.
The S2000 has an internal fuel pan with a poor design as the upper edges angle outward and the walls are not tall enough the retain the fuel inside the pan around the fuel pump. This is a cover for the inner fuel pan, which prevents the fuel from spilling out of the pan on long left hand turns and hard launches.
I came up with this idea back in July of 2015 and posted it on S2Ki (link below). Since that time, there has not been any reports of fuel starve using the pan cover. I firmly believe that this is a better alternative to fuel surge tanks since it is easy to install, costs less, lightweight, and it is safer (since there are no fuel lines/pumps/tanks being routed inside the trunk).

Customer feedback from John: COTA first weekend in February (2023) and first event with baffle installed. No fuel starve! Ran as low as 3 bars. Eagles Canyon Raceway last weekend. Prior to baffle, experienced starve in a couple turns but most severe in turn 3-4 sequence. Would starve with half tank. With your baffle installed, no starving. Ran as low as 2 bars! What a great solution!! So glad I found it. Telling all my S2000 track buddies.
